The Sunshine Coast Satellite Athlete Village will be delivered as part of the already-planned Maroochydore City Centre, led by the Walker Corporation. With planning for the City Centre well underway, it will be located within the central business district where residents and visitors can work, learn, live and play, meeting the needs of the growing community. 

The aim is for Brisbane 2032 athletes to be the first to occupy the new facilities and, after the Games, the village will provide around 350 permanent dwellings.
