This venue was included in the Sport Venue Review and, based on the recommendations, is proceeding as planned.
Currently the home to Gymnastics Queensland, the facility built for the 1982 Brisbane Commonwealth Games will be reaching its end of useful life by 2032.
The site will be transformed with a new sustainable indoor high-performance sports centre with 12 courts.
Brisbane 2032 use:
Chandler Indoor Sport Centre is earmarked to host Olympics gymnastics and wheelchair basketball during the Paralympics with 10,000 spectator seats.
