Queensland students going for gold with new sporting equipment

Queensland School students across the state are benefiting from new sporting equipment purchased through the round one allocation of Go For Gold funding.

Students and staff from Mount Molloy State School, Park Ridge State School and Victoria Point State School share the joy and excitement the new equipment has brought to the playground.

The Queensland Government has committed $100 million over 4-years in the Go For Gold Fund to build and upgrade school sport infrastructure and provide school sport equipment aimed at increasing student activity and participation in sport across all Queensland schools.

The benefits of the Go for Gold Fund will be spread across schools including primary, high, middle, special education, outdoor and distance education schools.

Round two of funding for sports infrastructure will be announced soon.
